The Ski Gear was first introduced in the story of Persona 4 Golden. While they are not able to be equipped during gameplay in Golden, the outfits were added to Persona 4: Dancing All Night as DLC costumes.

Trivia

Yu's skiing jacket has a "4" on the sleeve for Persona 4.
Yosuke's snowboarding jacket says "Since 1839 Giraiya Setsuwa". 1839 is the year the serialized picture book version of Jiraiya Gōketsu Monogatari began being published, Giraiya is Jiraiya, and Setsuwa is another reading of 物語 Monogatari.
Chie's snowboarding jacket has a swirl symbol on the back known as a Tomoe and the text surrounding it describes the look of the Tomoe, saying, "three comma-shaped figures in a circle".
Rise's skiing jacket says "Lovers 06" on it, like her arcana and its numbering.
Kanji's ski gear says "6910" and "May 12, 1534". These are both references to his second Persona, Rokuten Maoh, which is based on Oda Nobunaga. 6910 is a number pun with Rokuten (6 = ro, 9 = ku, 10 = ten). May 12, 1534 is Oda Nobunaga's birthday on the Tenmon calendar, equivalent to June 23rd on the Julian calendar.
