YHWH ṣəḇāʾôṯ, literally "Yahweh of armies", is an epithet of God used in the Bible. In the Septuagint and Christian New Testament, it is often rendered in Greek with the word for "armies" left untranslated (as Sabaoth), and the phrase is traditionally translated into English as "the Lord of hosts".

Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2

One of the names for God that appears within the Old Testament. It seems to references armies or hosts. In the Book of Samuel, it is depicted as an almighty being that would lead the Israelites to victory by coming to their aid and vanquishing their foes. Based on the Kabbalah school of thought from Jewish mysticism, the seventh sephirah, Netzach, can be interpreted as being Netzach Sabaoth, while the eighth, Hod, can be interpreted as being Elohim Sabaoth.

Sabaoth is an avatar of YHVH, appearing in the Ark on the Neutral and Chaos routes. It questions why Aleph would be riding the Ark when he is not worthy, explaining that only those who respect and obey God were chosen to ride the Ark to ensure that evil and violence does not destroy the new world, and decides to destroy him for his blasphemy.
