Return of the True Demon

"Return of the True Demon" is a downloadable Subquest in Shin Megami Tensei V. It is also included in the base game of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. It features the nine Fiends, Matador, Daisoujou, Hell Biker, White Rider, Red Rider, Black Rider, Pale Rider, Mother Harlot and Trumpeter, who become available for Special Fusion after defeat, as well as the Demi-fiend, who in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, is recruitable upon defeat.

As of the delisting of Shin Megami Tensei V on June 14, 2024 following the release of Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, it is no longer possible to purchase or download the game's downloadable content.^[1]

Upon entering the World of ShadowsShin Megami Tensei V, or reaching the Tokyo Diet BuildingShin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, Sophia gives the Nahobino the Menorah of Knowledge. The menorah, attracted to the avatars of death, causes pillars of light to appear around Da'at. Once interacted with, the Nahobino is pitted in a battle to the death against one of the Fiends. If victorious, he is awarded the one of the menorahs.

The first pillar appears near the Tamachi Leyline Fount in the Minato region.

Stage	Quest Description
Beginning	Sophia handed you an item called a menorah. She warned you that it attracts the avatars of death, but didn't explain further.
Matador defeat	You defeated Matador and received its menorah.
Daisoujou defeat	You defeated Daisoujou and received its menorah.

White Rider defeat	You defeated White Rider and received its menorah.
Red Rider defeat	You defeated Red Rider and received its menorah.
Black Rider defeat	You defeated Black Rider and received its menorah.
Pale Rider defeat	You defeated Pale Rider and received its menorah.
Mother Harlot defeat	You defeated Mother Harlot and received its menorah.
Trumpeter defeat	You defeated Trumpeter and received its menorah.
Demi-fiend defeat	After reaching the Hall of Chaos, you defeated the Demi-fiend, the strongest of all Fiends.
