Origin

A heyoka, sometimes anglicized as haokah, is a sacred jester shaman of the Lakota and Dakota peoples (collectively called the Sioux) of the North American Great Plains. The heyoka is believed to have visions of thunder spirits known as the wakíŋyaŋ.

出身地：アメリカ ネイティブアメリカンのダコタ・スー族の雷と狩猟の神。日本の雷神と同じく、雷はハオカーの打つ雷鼓の音であり、風は雷鼓を打つバチだと考えられた。頭に角を生やした戦士の姿をし、喜怒哀楽や、暑さ寒さを感じる能力が人間とは逆に働いている。 Translation: Place of origin: America A god of thunder and hunting of the Native American Dakota Sioux tribe. Like Raijin of Japan, thunder was thought to be the sound of Haokah striking a thunder drum, and wind was thought to be the stick that strikes the thunder drum. His appearance is that of a warrior who grew horns from his hair, and his emotions and sensations of hot and cold work the opposite way to that of humans.
