"Defeating the Demon" is a Quest in Shin Megami Tensei IV.

Overview

While leaving the underground shelter in Blasted Shinjuku, Flynn, Walter, and Jonathan are approached by several hoarse-voiced individuals, begging them to avenge their families in Shibuya, which was attacked by a demon. One of them hands Flynn a Rusted Key, and Burroughs registers their pleas as a quest. While it is a main quest, completing it is entirely optional.

Blasted Shibuya can be accessed from the Terminal in Blasted Kasumigaseki, which requires the Rusted Key.

The demon, Ixtab, is in a Domain occupying the underground shelter's second basement. First, she summons a horde of Garrotes, then fights the Samurai herself. Once both are defeated, the Domain disappears, and the quest is completed. Ixtab's Special Fusion also becomes available.
