Crusader is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.
Profile
Origin
A crusader was a participant in the medieval Christian Crusades, a series of religiously motivated military campaigns that began with the First Crusade in 1096. The movement was initiated after Pope Urban II called for an expedition to aid Eastern Christians and reclaim Jerusalem and other holy sites in the Holy Land from Muslim rule at the Council of Clermont in 1095. Participants in the Crusades took the cross as a symbol of their commitment to the campaigns, which were associated with promises of spiritual reward. The term later came to refer broadly to participants in the wider crusading movement, including campaigns outside the Holy Land.

Gameplay
Crusader is exclusive to the CD-ROM² version of Shin Megami Tensei. It can only be obtained as a rare result when using a human in fusion, but cannot be used as fusion material itself in the Heretic's Manor. Can only be fused to create Vairocana by obtaining two additional demons, Missionary and Amaterasu, and visiting the old man in Sugamo Prison.
