Eisheth Zenunim is a demon from Jewish mythology. Her name means "Woman of Whoredom" and is a princess of the Qliphoth that rules over a section called Gamaliel. She is a personification of sin that eats the souls of the damned.
Design
Eisheth Zenunim was designed by Masayuki Doi for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. Due to the lack of accounts of Eisheth outside of her eating the souls of the damned, Doi noted that she was one of the most difficult demons to design[3]. Eisheth is a humanoid woman with a white body covered in patterns of circles that flakes away from her hands, feet, and face from the mouth up which are instead black skin, and her hair is braided into sets of three over each side of her face and down her back. Her fingers and toes have long thin claws, there are a golden spiral on the back of each of her hands and top of her feet, and her eyes are black with shining white irises. Her tongue is pure black and can extend from her mouth into a hand that can either hold up others or rips souls out of her enemies. As with all members of the Qadištu, she has a pair of sharp black wings.
Eisheth: Eisheth Zenunim. One of the four female demons in the Zohar, a spiritual text of Jewish mystical thought.
Said to be a princess of the Qlippoth, a concept of evil power in the same school of thought, she is the embodiment of sin; seducing many humans and leading them to their destruction. It is said that when people abuse words with mystical power, those words are taken away by the devil to create an evil world of arrogance and vanity. From this world, Eisheth appears to terrorize humanity.
Eisheth's Shadow: Apparition of the demoness Eisheth, summoned by Samael. In Jewish mysticism, the four demons Lilith, Naamah, Eisheth, and Agrat are considered to be Samael's personal companions.
