Mastema is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.

Profile

Origin

Mastema, also referred to as Mansemat, is the angel of hostility and persecution in Judaism who appears in the Book of Jubilees. He rules over one-tenth of the Nephilim after he pleaded with God to let them remain on earth so he may test the faith of humanity, with the rest being damned. He fulfills the role of the Adversary however is considered a separate entity from Satan.
