Ice[a] is a recurring skill attribute in the Megami Tensei franchise.

Gameplay

Ice skills inflict magic damage on a target. Ice counterbalances the Fire attribute, with Ice skills often having an advantage against opponents with a Fire affinity, while those with an Ice affinity are also in turn weak to Fire skills. In games that have the Freeze status ailment, all Ice skills also have a chance of freezing the target.

The Ice attribute is represented by the Bufu line of skills, which have appeared in almost every installment since Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei II.
