Take Your Love is the first Valentine event in Persona 5: The Phantom X.

Blurb

A fun story available during the Valentine's period. Spend the time with everyone and have a wonderful Valentine's. You can gain mission rewards from clearing missions.

Gameplay

Take Your Love consisted of three components: the Event Story, which was the main storyline of the event; Boss Battle, which was the combat component of the event; and Side Story, which featured various characters that Wonder could spend time with for Valentine's Day. Additionally, a Puzzle event debuted alongside Take Your Love featuring an illustration of the Phantom Thieves baking chocolates.

Take Your Love had two event currencies: Chocolate Pieces, which were special items used to advance the Side Story game mode, and Love Crystals, which could be exchanged for various items in the event exchange shop.

Boss Battle

Through Boss Battle, Wonder and his party could obtain ChocoPower, which was tied to buffs and the use of the Love Bomb that could be utilized in the final stage. Love Bomb, when used, would deal Almighty damage to all foes and change all elemental affinities to Weak for a single turn. ChocoPower buffs consisted of the following:

ChocoPower Buffs
ChocoPower Buff
50 Increase Defense by 40%.
100 Increase Attack by 40%.
200 Increase HP by 20%.
300 Increase final damage by 10%.

Stages

Stages 1-6 all have the stage text "Gain buffs based on the ChocoPower you gain. ChocoPower is limited to x in this stage. By gaining ChocoPower, you will be able to use Love Bomb in the boss stage.", with x representing the amount of ChocoPower that can be gained in that stage. It has been omitted from Stage Information and placed under the "Limit" column in the below table for brevity. The seventh stage features a boss battle against Vasuki which has five tiers of difficulty. Upon clearing each difficulty of the seventh stage, it can be repeated for 60 Stamina, rewarding a variable number of Wonder EXP, Love Crystals, and Konpaku Gems based on difficulty.

Side Story

In Side Story, Wonder could view short stories featuring other characters. Each character, with the exception of Shun Kano, had three viewable stories: "Chapter 1", "Chapter 2", and "Chapter 3". The first character whose Chapter 3 was viewed would become Wonder's Valentine for the event. Afterwards, the Chapter 3 of other characters could be viewed. Players are able to toggle whether or not a character has messaged Wonder inviting him to spend time on Valentine's Day; upon viewing any Chapter 3 side story, any characters that had invited Wonder out (with the exception of the character whose Chapter 3 was being viewed) would be featured in a follow-up scene in which Wonder would be confronted by any characters who he had ignored.

Chapter 1 for any given character was viewable upon giving 50 Chocolate Pieces to a character, and Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 was viewable upon giving 100 Chocolate Pieces total to a character. The event featured enough Chocolate Pieces to view every character's Chapter 3. After viewing a Chapter 3 for the first time, Wonder would receive that character's unique Valentine's chocolate. These chocolates could be displayed in Wonder's room; however, only the character selected as the Valentine for the event could be used in this manner. The exception is Shun Kano, who only has one chapter, but can be selected without spending any Chocolate Pieces. Spending Valentine's Day with Shun Kano would prevent Wonder from selecting any other character as their Valentine in the same manner as selecting any other character's Chapter 3.

Each Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 rewarded Wonder with 30 Meta Jewels, 200 Love Crystals, and 1 item labeled as a gift from that character. Each gift item could be used in order to receive a Synergy boosting item.
