Shin Megami Tensei 30th Anniversary Special Sound Compilation

Shin Megami Tensei 30th Anniversary Special Sound Compilation is a compilation soundtrack for games in the the Shin Megami Tensei series, made to celebrate the series' 30th anniversary. The album was first announced during the Shin Megami Tensei 30th Anniversary Thanksgiving in KT Zepp Yokohama concert in May of 2023.

The compilation includes 5 CDs and an engraved USB drive. The CDs include the soundtracks for Shin Megami Tensei (Super Famicom and Mega-CD), Shin Megami Tensei II (Super Famicom), Shin Megami Tensei if... (Super Famicom), and Shin Megami Tensei: Nine. The USB drive contains the soundtrack for Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniax, Shin Megami Tensei IV, Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, and Shin Megami Tensei V.^[2] All files on the USB drive are 320kbps MP3s except for the tracks from Shin Megami Tensei V, which are hi-res 48Khz 24bit WAVs.

The songs from this album were later released on streaming services as separate albums.^[3] On streaming services, the songs on this album's CDs are listed with a release date of August 31, 2023 and credit Atlus as the publisher, while the USB tracks are identical to their pre-existing albums and are listed with those albums' original release dates and publishers. The Super Famicom tracks for Shin Megami Tensei and Shin Megami Tensei II are recorded directly from actual game consoles. This is unique to this album, as the previously released Shin Megami Tensei Law & Chaos Disc and Shin Megami Tensei II Sound Relation used different mixes than the ones found in-game.
"Secret Track" on Disc 1 is unused in the original game, and can be listened to through a set of Action Replay codes.^[4]
- The song was seemingly remixed into the title theme of the 1983 Super Famicom Game Uchuu no Kishi - Tekkaman Blade, which was also composed by Tsukasa Masuko. A portion of "Secret Track" can be heard roughly 50 seconds into that game's title theme.
This album marks the first time the soundtrack for the Mega-CD version of Shin Megami Tensei has been officially released.
This album marks the first time the soundtrack for Shin Megami Tensei Nine has been commercially distributed. It was originally released as a pre-order bonus and bundled with the Deluxe version of the game, titled Shin Megami Tensei: Nine Premium Sound Trax.
Disc 4's contents are identical to Disc 1 of Shin Megami Tensei if... Original Sound Collection.
