"Resurrection of the Kousoushin" is a Challenge Quest in Shin Megami Tensei IV.

Overview

This quest can be obtained randomly by Scouting demons after the alignment lock. Since this is a Delivery quest, it does not need to be accepted.

The client, Futotama, is in the Meiji Shrine. If Flynn enters the shrine after registering the quest, then instead of asking him to leave, Futotama will ask him if he's here for the job he requested. If Flynn answers Yes, then he explains that Amaterasu has been sealed away, and the Amatsu have lost much of their power. He wishes to somehow free Amaterasu and prevent the extinction of the Amatsu. For that, he requires three holy vessels -- the Yata Mirror, the Yasakani Magatama, and the Ameno Murakumo sword.

The requested items are the Yata no Kagami, Yasakani Magatama, and Kusanagi Tsurugi. They can be obtained by clearing the Domains in Yoroi Shrine, Kiou Shrine, and Kabuto Shrine, respectively.

Upon returning to Meiji Shrine with the three items, Futotama orders Flynn to take the three sacred treasures to Tokyo Castle Ruins as an offering. At the entrance on the world map, they begin to glow, and the seal weakens. After handing the items to Futotama, the quest is completed.

In the scene that follows, Flynn is given Torifune's Shawl, and Amaterasu's Special Fusion becomes available.
