"Pluck the Buds of Rebellion" is a Challenge Quest in Shin Megami Tensei IV.

Overview

This quest is available from K's Tavern on New Game+.[when?]

Visiting the Castle City after accepting the quest allows Flynn to enter the Back Alley. Upon entering the Back Alley, Flynn notices a strange man, and can choose to follow him. The man notices Flynn, and can immediately tell that he's a Samurai, but decides that it doesn't matter, figuring that he probably has a problem with the kingdom, too. He then asks Flynn if he thinks the kingdom's class system is ridiculous. Flynn's answer will affect his Alignment, but regardless of which option he chooses, the man transforms into a demon and attacks.

After defeating the demon, it vanishes, and a Master Samurai praises Flynn for slaying the demon before he could. With that, the quest is completed, and Ogun's Special Fusion becomes available.
