Pegasus is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.
Profile
Origin
Pegasus,[a] according to ancient Greek mythology, is a winged horse that is said to be the son of Poseidon and Medusa.[1] He was conceived when the two laid in a field of flowers but was unable to be born until the hero Perseus cut off Medusa's head, allowing him and his brother Chrysaor to burst free fully-formed, and he is said to carry lightning bolts for Zeus.[2] He fought together with the hero Bellerophon during his battle against the chimera.[3] Pindar writes that Bellerophon attempted to fly on Pegasus toward the gods' dwelling-place, but he was thrown off by Pegasus.[4]
According to Pausanias, there was a tradition that Athena was the one who tamed Pegasus and gave him as a steed to Bellerophon.[5]
