One of the 4 Heavenly Kings in Buddhism. He protects Mt. Meru's west and Aparagodaniya with a trident. He is also known as the king of the Naga. He can see all, and has the power to punish evildoers and reform them.

Koumokuten, protector of the West, is one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Buddhist origin.
Shin Megami Tensei V Koumokuten, protector of the West, is one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Buddhist mythology.

Similarly to his fellow kings, he is often depicted as a fierce warrior, clad in armor and wielding a trident. He is also known as Virupaksha and is said to keep a close eye on the world with his sharp gaze, preaching to the people all the while.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse

Koumokuten is one of the five Kishin that guard the Fudo temples located around Tokyo. He can be found in the Hakujoin temple with the white jar which draws the essence of Gluttony. He faces Nanashi and the party in battle when they arrive to seal the jar he guards but is defeated.
