A Horned God, also associated with the terms Bull God and Dragonslayer, is a concept in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance.
Profile
The terms Horned God and Bull God were inspired by Shigeo Komori analyzing comparative mythology and observing that in multiple cultures around the world, bull and snake gods have an adverse relationship where one dominates the other.[1]
In Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, Bull God refers to the god Marduk, who established the world of order as the first ruler. Horned God can refer to either Marduk himself, or deities related to him. Horned Gods are also associated with Dragonslayers due to Marduk slaying the Serpent God Tiamat prior to claiming the Throne. Since Tiamat's death, the Horned Gods have maintained control of the Throne through the use of a curse placed by Marduk, which prohibits Serpent Gods from utilizing it's powers.[2][3][4][5]
The exact relation between the terms Bull God and Horned God are unclear; however, they are not synonymous. Amun Ra is explicitly referred to as a Horned God who was not a Bull God.[4]

Shin Megami Tensei V
While Marduk and the term "Horned God" are never directly referenced in Shin Megami Tensei V, multiple characters refer to a "Bull God".
In The Bull God's Lineage, Baal is revealed to be the leader of Moloch and Belphegor, the enemies previously faced by Nahobino in the Demeter side quest chain.[6] When Baal meets the Nahobino, he states that the Nahobino has the divinity of the Bull God, which grants him the right to claim the Throne of Creation. Baal then attacks the Nahobino in an attempt to reshape the Nahobino's soul, which Baal claims is so well-suited to him that he can utilize it to become a Nahobino himself.[7]
In A Plot Revealed, Zeus is revealed to be another deity who traces his origins back to the Bull God. This means that like Baal, Zeus can use the protagonist's soul in order to become a Nahobino and claim the Throne.[8]
