Talk:Horned God

Jump to navigation Jump to search

I believe that there should be a distinction between Horned Gods and Dragonslayers. It was my understanding that Susano-o being both a horned god due to his connection to Gozu-Tennoh and his status as a Dragonslayer was what made him ideal to summon Tiamat. For example Siegfried could be a Dragonslayer for defeating Fafnir, however he is not a Horned God. Bull God is certainly connected to Horned God, that is explained by Thoth, but Dragonslayer should be considered a separate but not mutually exclusive from a Horned God. In summary, lots of but not all Horned Gods are Dragonslayers, and not all Dragonslayers are Horned Gods. User:Herekit (talk) 16:40, 12 Febuary 2025 (AEST)

Once again I'd like to argue that "Dragonslayer" and "Horned God" should be given distinct pages. They are separate enough that they should be treated as separate terminology.User:Herekit (talk) 09:41, 17 Febuary 2025 (AEST)
Sorry for the wait, I had to discuss the topic with staff (that's what took so long, so double apologies if it felt like you were being ignored). A page split is reasonable, but I wouldn't include any information (ex: Siegfried possibly being a Dragonslayer) unless specifically stated in game.

No worries, thanks for the reply. I apologise for being pushy about it. Completely agree about information explicitly stated in the text, I was simply using Siegfried as an example. User:Herekit (talk) 15:25, 17 Febuary 2025 (AEST)
Confirming before taking action, is it ok to edit the Dragonslayer redirect page to one focused on Dragonslayers? User:Herekit (talk) 18:23, 19 Feb 2025 (AEST)
