Hope Diamond is a Shadow and Persona in Persona 5. It is a type of Treasure Demon, which drop large sums of Yen and Experience Points when defeated.

Origin

The Hope Diamond is a diamond which was known to be in the possession of Dutch-English banker Henry Philip Hope at the time of his death in 1839. It is usually believed to be a piece of the Blue Diamond of the Crown of France, also known as the French blue or Tavernier blue. This diamond was sold by the merchant Jean-Baptiste Tavernier to the French king Louis XIV and included in the French crown jewels until the French Revolution, when the gem was broken into several pieces. After its resurfacing in 1839, it stayed in the Hope family until 1901.
