Amala Drum is a recurring mechanic in the Megami Tensei franchise.

The designs of the Amala Drums are modelled after prayer wheels. The script featured on the outer rims are based on chromosomes; however, the text has no meaning.[1]

- There is a reused model of an Amala Drum on Brahman's head in Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner 2; however, according to Kazuma Kaneko, it was not intended to imply any connection to Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne.[2]
