Ialdabaoth, also spelled Jaldabaoth or Yaldabaoth, is a name applied to the Demiurge, i.e. the creator of the material world, by the Sethians, a Gnostic group in the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD. The Sethians saw Ialdabaoth as actively malevolent, unlike Valentinus's description of an ignorant Demiurge.

Design

Yaldabaoth has two faces, one upside-down, which connect to one another. This is to represent countless faces.

Yaldabaoth is golden in order to give him a gorgeous appearance. As he takes damage, the gold plating on his body peels off, revealing his black skin underneath. In his boss fight's second phase, only his head remains.
