Visualive Persona 4 is a stage play based on Persona 4, the fifth entry in the Persona series. It saw a limited run at the Sunshine Theater in Ikebukuro from March 15th to 20th, 2012.[1] The sequel, Visualive Persona 4: The Evolution, was performed in October of 2012, after the release of Persona 4 Golden.
The stage play covers from after Rise's dungeon to Mitsuo's dungeon. During the performance recorded for the DVD of Visualive, the protagonist was named Yūya Seta. The characters are portrayed by actors on stage with Personas and other special effects projected on the screen behind them, and a separate director was in charge of these sequences. Rise did not appear as a character, but her voice actress from the video game had pre-recorded lines that played while the protagonist spoke to her on his phone.
Home Release
The DVD was released on July 27, 2012. It included a booklet, bonus backstage footage, and a 3d holographic card.[2]
The Hero had a different name for every performance. People who purchased tickets could submit names, and attendees whose submissions were chosen received a gift at the venue.[3]
Bromides with the hero's name written on them were given out to randomly selected audience members at each performance.
So far, only five of the protagonist's names are known. Yūya's name is known due to it being the one recorded and as well as an official signed product. The others are known because of bromides with the protagonist's name printed on them.
Certain performances were designated as "Glasses Day," where any attendee who wore glasses to the show would receive a Teddie postcard.[4]
