Template:Data/Skill/Dx2
Purpose
Data template used to document skill details from Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2.
Usage
This template is to be updated with skill data for use with Template:Dx2 Ally Demon Stats, Template:Dx2 Enemy Demon Stats, Skills in Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2.

(Variable Name lowercase)=
refers to the name of the skill. This is what the other templates will be attempting to call to pull for data, so this must be spelled correctly in order for the information to be filled in. This must be spelled ENTIRELY in lowercase or the template will not load.
The target=
parameter is for recording the skill's target value specifically for the Template:Dx2 Demon Stats. Due to the size of the cells in the template, rather than using full words to describe target reach. There are six specific entries that should be input in this parameter:
- 1.

, used to describe skills that target the user. This is primarily used with Passive skills. - 2.

, used to describe skills that have a single target (outside of the user). This can be used in reference to damaging skills that target one enemy or healing skills that target one ally. - 3.

, used to describe skills that target all enemies. - 4.

, used to describe skills that target all allies. - 5.

, used to describe skills that have a random number of hits. - 6.

, used to describe skills that targets every unit on the field.
The target_list=
parameter is similar to target=
, but specifically for use in the Skills in Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2 listing. Unlike the Template:Dx2 Demon Stats, the listing has ample space for text, and as such should be filled with the respective text used for target=
abbreviated.
- Example: "Self" instead of

The description=
parameter is used to input the official skill description. If a description starts with a plus sign (+), use +
instead of the symbol. If character "+" is used at the start of the information, the parameter will not function. If a description has multiple sub-effects, use the <hr>
to separate them. If an effect/sub-effect has minor details that explains how a skill works mechanically, separate the text using <br>
.
The effect=
parameter is unused.
The skillpoints=
parameter is used to input the points required for a demon to inherit the skill through a genome.
The use=
parameter is used to record how many uses a skill has. This parameter will almost exclusively be used by Healing skills.
The unique=
parameter is used when the skill is uniquely held by specific demon(s). A skill is considered unique if it cannot be inherited and less than 5 demons have access to it.
- Example: Both the skills Lotus Dance and Godly Power are considered unique even though multiple demons have access to Godly Power (Shaddai, Elohim, and Sabaoth).
The name of the demon recorded in the unique=
parameter should be input as a link that directly pipes to the demon's stat page for Dx2.
- Example:

The level=
parameter is used to record the boost gained by leveling the skill. Only record the data the final level and the stat gained by it. If the level has multiple sub-effects use <hr>
to separate them.
- Example:
level=Lv. 4: 50% chance of 1MP recovery when using this skill.<hr>MP cost of this skill -1.
The name=
parameter is used to record the name of the skill. Unlike the initial variable name, the first letter of every word in used in the skill should be uppercase here. The skill should be input as a link unless the skill is exclusive to Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2. After naming the skill, enter the name of the skill in the same case into the following code <span id=" "></span>
. This allows links to directly send users to the skill within the listing so it is very important.

The nameicon=
parameter is similar to the name=
parameter, but is used specifically for the Template:Dx2 Demon Stats. The skill name should likewise be recorded here with the first letter of every word in uppercase. However, for this parameter every skill name should be entered as a link that pipes to the skill details within the listing.

Every skill in the game is associated with an element, use the code {{Data/Icon/Dx2| }}
to signify to users what ability the skill may have through an icon. The following codes are used to reference a specific element:

Some skills utilize multiple elements to deal damage, in such cases, use every applicable icon separated by
. Strength-based skills that deal non-physical damage and magic-based skills that deal physical damage are not considered multi-element. If unsure what element a skill may be associated with, please refer to the Dx2 wiki.
Within the nameicon=
parameter, place the text
between the name and the element icon with no spaces.

When recording information, if a skill has no value associated with a specific parameter, insert an emdash (—) to signify it.
