Officer Kurosawa also uses the facility to sell equipment to S.E.E.S. for their battles against Shadows. In Persona 3 Portable, the protagonists can read missing persons notices at the police station and find people within the Tartarus.

Translation: "Kumagai: Personally, I am rather fond of the Tziah block you rush into in the second half of the story, which was changed to have a rather solemn ambiance. As for finer details, I would like you to take a look at the backroom of the police station in Paulownia Mall. The process of purchasing weapons and armor from the police officer in the station is the same as in the original, but we obviously felt that it would be a bad idea to make such an exchange where anyone could see (laughs), so in this game a backroom area was added in order to perform purchases and sales."
