"Tanaka's Amazing Commodities" is a recurring song in the Persona series, first appearing in Persona 3. It is the theme song for the Tanaka's Amazing Commodities shopping program.
Production
"Tanaka's Amazing Commodities" was originally composed by Shoji Meguro and created for Persona 3 as a successor to "Satomi Tadashi Pharmacy's Theme". To keep with the tradition set by Satomi Tadashi's theme, the song was given vocals; Katsura Hashino, the game's director, provided the lyrics, and Masahide Takaya, a debugger at Atlus, was chosen as the vocalist.[1] The song was rearranged by Atsushi Kitajoh for Persona 3 Reload and features vocals from multiple unnamed members of the game's development team.[2] The version introduced in Persona 5 was arranged by Kitajoh as an electronic instrumental remix in order to better represent an internet shopping program.[3]
Lyrics
Lyrics were included in the Persona 3 Original Soundtrack and Persona 3 Reload Original Soundtrack booklets. English lyrics are sourced from the Persona 3 Reload Soundtrack booklet. The lyrics are the same across all versions of the song with vocals.
