In Megami Ibunroku Persona, the design of God Kandori has the appearance of a bodhisattva due to Kandori's belief that he has attained enlightenment. In Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, God Kandori's design retains these features; however, it's body is cracked because Nyarlathotep does not acknowledge the existence of bodhisattvas.[3]

Trivia
- Kandori and Takeda obtained their Personas without meeting Philemon in their dream.[4]
- Kazuma Kaneko claims that Kandori in Persona 2 is not Kandori himself, but another being.[5] In KAZUMA KANEKO WORKS VIII, It argues that this being is an incarnation of Nyarlathotep.[6]
- During his time as a student at St. Hermelin High School, Kandori was member of the Student Council and was the 18th president.
Nomenclature
Kandori's surname is written using the character 神, meaning "deity", and 取, meaning "take". His given name is written with the character 鷹, meaning "hawk", and 久, meaning "long time".
His pseudonym, Hisataka Shinjō, is a modification of his real name. The first and second characters are swapped for his given name, while his surname has the character 取 replaced with 条, meaning "article (of a document)".
His pseudonym in the English localization of Eternal Punishment uses the French name Guy in place of the Italian name Guido; both names stem from the same origin and derive from a Germanic word meaning "wood".
