Yuko Himeno can be first met at St. Hermelin High School, in classroom 2-4. As the party is heading to Mikage Hospital to get a check-up and visit Maki Sonomura, she requests them to ask Maki if she can keep the "Gate to Paradise" book she borrowed for a little longer. Accepting the request will alter the conversation with Maki at the hospital, saying that she can keep it as she memorized the book by now. Refusing the request will have Yuko apologize, and Yukino Mayuzumi will call out the protagonist for being rude. Visiting the Himeno Residence prior to visiting the hospital will also have Yukino mention that Yuko works a part-time job just like her, but unlike Yukino, she works for her family rather than for herself.

When the protagonist comes back to St. Hermelin High School after the events at Mikage Hospital, Yuko can be found in the 1F passageway with Yuka Ayase, trying to close the hole. She mentions that Yukino went inside the school building, trying to find something to block the hole. If the protagonist tries to leave through the hole, starting the SEBEC Route, Maki will appear from the school building. Ayase questions Maki's behaviour, but Yuko confirms that this Maki is not a demon as she is wearing her favorite compact. Following Kei Nanjo's arrival and the news of Masao Inaba being captured at the Mikage Police Station, the party sets off, with Yuko sending them off, telling them to be careful.

After rescuing Mark and Hidehiko Uesugi from the Police Station, if the party tries to go back to school, they will discover that the school has disappeared and Maki will show concern for Yuko and the others. Alternatively, the party can learn of Yuko and the school's disappearance from Ayase at the Abandonned Factory leading to the SEBEC Building.

In Maki's Idealized World, Yuko has a very different background and personality compared to the real Yuko. She now lives in luxury at the Himeno Mansion, located where the Kaneda Mansion used to be, with Katsue Kaneda now living where the Himeno Residence used to be. The kind and timid personality of the real Yuko is now replaced by an arrogant personality, which leaves students wondering why Maki, the most beloved student, is friend with the most beloathed student.

If talked to in the Idealized St. Hermelin High School's room 2-4 prior to meeting with Yosuke Naito, she says her father hired a bodyguard to defend her from the demons, and jokes about the party not being able to afford a bodyguard. Furthermore she remarks that Nanjo is still mingling with "that sort", which upsets the party, Nanjo included. After exiting the idealized school, Yuko can be found at the Himeno Mansion. If Reiji Kido is in the party, she will turn down the party from coming in, and Maki will call out her rudeness after Yuko said Mark had an inferiority complex from him concluding she thought of them as thieves, otherwise she will invite Maki to come in and drink tea, which she turns down for the time being. Later, following retrieving Maki from the Lost Forest, if the Himeno Mansion is visited, she will invite the party in, which Nanjo assumes is due to her fear of the events happening in the Ideal Mikage-cho.

In the Snow Queen Route, Yuko is one of the students stuck in the Ice Castle. She can be found at the armor shop found in classroom 1-3, where she will comment on the look and prices of the products and wonder if the shop would buy uniforms.

Trivia

• Of the students and staff affiliated to St. Hermelin High School that are found in the Ice Castle during the Snow Queen Route, Yuko Himeno is the only one to not make an appearance during any of the towers, staying in the armor shop throughout the story.
