Scarecrow is an original creation, though its name is derived from the character Scarecrow from L. Frank Baum's Oz series of novels, who, in the first novel, has concerns over not having a brain.

出身地：日本 あてもなくさまよう、脳無しのゾンビ。スケアクローは「かかし」の意。 悪魔の出現する場所に現れてうろうろする、やせこけたゾンビ。人間をみると一応襲ってくるが、その名に違わず、たいへんに弱い。 姿形から察するに、病院から抜け出てきたらしい。何が目的なのかよくわからないが、「オズの魔法使い」のかかし同樣、失われた自分の脳みそを探しているといわれる。 Translation: Place of origin: Japan A zombie without a brain, wandering aimlessly. Scarecrow means "scarecrow". This emaciated zombie shows up to loiter around in places where demons appear. It more-or-less attacks humans on sight, but despite its name, it is very weak. Judging by its appearance, it seems like it escaped from a hospital. Although its goal is not well-understood, it is said it is searching for its lost brain, like the Scarecrow from "The Wizard of Oz".
