Nomenclature

Freikugel comes from the German opera Der Freischütz by Carl Maria von Weber, in which the marksman Max receives seven bullets called the Freikugeln, meaning "free bullets", from a deal with the devil as to win the hand of Agathe by proving his skill with a gun. Six of the bullets will never miss when fired; however, one is controlled by the devil and shall hit whatever target he chooses.
