Jezebel is a Demon in Devil Survivor.

Profile

Origin

According to the biblical book of 1 Kings, Jezebel was a Tyrian princess who was the wife of Ahab, king of Israel, and she promoted worship of Baal in place of YHWH and persecuted prophets of YHWH such as Elijah.

Design

According to Kazuma Kaneko, because the Bible does not describe any details about Jezebel, he decided to design the demon using a flower motif.

Gameplay

	Reason: Babel fight stats

At the start of the fight, any damage Jezebel receives will also hurt Amane, and the party has to either be careful with their damage or heal Amane in between attacks in order to keep the girl alive. Once Jezebel is reduced to 40% HP Amane will wake up and teleport away, and Jezebel then summons three Mind Amane that try to chase her down.

Phoenician princess and wife of Ahab who appears in the Book of Kings. She introduced Baal to the Jews, but when Elijah defeated the prophets of Baal and Asherah, she tried to kill him. After Ahab died, her sons Ahaziah and Joram sat on the throne, but both died in a coup led by Jehu, son of Josefat. She was thrown from a balcony, then ran over with a chariot, and her remains were left for the dogs. All this was as prophesied by Elijah, as retribution for killing Naboth for his vineyard.Unused
