The Friend is a playable character in Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei II. He is the Hero's close companion and his initial partner.
In the original Famicom version, "Friend..." is the companion's default name given if no name is entered at his naming screen. In Kyūyaku Megami Tensei, his default name is Partner.

- In the Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei II manual, the Friend is given the name Senda in screenshots. This name is also used in the comic in Megami Tensei I · II Summon Disc & Fusion Disc.
