Last Bible

Long before humans existed on the Fifth Planet from the sun, godly beings had wielded the supernatural powers of Gaia. The Game Gear version of the game further clarifies the planet's origins: the godly entities brought with them Orichalcum as they descended onto the Fifth Planet, and with it had created the planet's natural fauna. The four Orichalcum became the planet's essence of life and were each kept in scattered Shrines. The human inhabitants also learned to wield Gaia themselves, with those acquiring mastery becoming Gaia Masters. In present time, the old Gaia Masters Lucifer and Michael had suddenly vanished, leaving only the Gaia Masters Baal, Belial, and Mephisto left.

Two years following Lucifer's and Michael's disappearance, Beasts suddenly descend onto the Fifth Planet and stage an assault in demand of the Orichalcum. El, a Gaia Master Candidate-in-training, is tasked with investigating the Beasts' motives and eventually meets and allies with fellow trainees Kishe and Uranus as he travels the world. A power struggle soon breaks out in the midst of the crisis, as the Zord and current Gaia Masters each accuse each other of working alongside the Beasts.

El and his party eventually discover that the old Gaia Masters are behind the plot to steal the Orichalcum, who seek to bring them back to the third planet Terra and become its gods. The party pursue the Gaia Masters through a portal connecting the two worlds and confront Lucifer, the leader of the Gaia Masters' plot, at Luciferium for control of the Orichalcum.

In the Game Boy and Game Boy Color versions of the game, the party retrieve the Orichalcum after defeating Lucifer and return them to their Shrines back on the Fifth Planet. The Goddess of Force congratulates the party on their victory, but warns that with Gaia and Force combined, a new world shall soon form and the Fifth Planet shall meet its end in turn.

In the Game Gear version, the Orichalcum resonates with Lucifer's Gaia and consequently brings the Fifth Planet to its sudden demise, making it no longer accessible. The Goddess of Force henceforth tasks the party with building a new civilization and history on Terra.

End of spoilers.
