El is a playable character and the protagonist of Last Bible. He is a Gaia trainee living in the Town of Moira. When Beasts descend onto the Fifth Planet in demand of the Orichalcum, the planet's essences of life, El is tasked with investigating the attacks.
El is the protagonist's default name in the Game Gear version of Last Bible if no name is entered on his naming screen, and is also used in the Game Boy Color version as his suggested default name. In Last Bible II and Last Bible III, El is his canonized name.
Profile
El is an adolescent boy with long red or brown hair tied in a ponytail. In his original Game Boy version design, he is depicted as wearing a long red cape, a pair of green pauldrons on his shoulders, a black tank top, green pants, black gloves, and black lace boots. In his Game Boy Color version redesign, he has blue eyes and instead wears a cuirass over a green short-sleeved shirt, blue pants, and a single pauldron on his right shoulder and a poleyn on his left knee. In all his depictions, he carries a sword in his right hand as well as a sheathed dagger on his left leg.
El is a silent protagonist and does not have a defined personality in most of his appearances. He is described as having been a crybaby when he was younger.[1]
Gameplay
El learns magic skills based on his current maximum MP value upon leveling up. Through certain events in the game, he can also acquire the skills Stardust, a stronger version of Zanma (only in the Game Boy and Game Boy Color versions), and Force. In the Game Gear remaster, he can also acquire Cogitoergos.
While El does not have a set of starting equipment with him, he is given a Tight Sword at the beginning of the game.
