Profile
Origin
A faun[a] is kind of supernatural being associated with the outdoors in Roman folklore, rarely[1] identified as equivalent to the Greek satyr. The fauns are plural versions of the god Faunus,[2] who is their master.[3] Fauns were known for dancing in the forest, and, compared to satyrs, fauns were thought of as gentler and less of a danger to humans.[3] Additionally, they were thought to speak prophecies that could be heard during battle.[2]
