Ashura-kai

The Hachibu Rengou Ashura-kai, referred to simply as the Ashura-kai, are an organization in Shin Megami Tensei IV and Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse. They are a gang in Tokyo that rivals the Ring of Gaea.

The Hachibu Rengou Ashura-kai rose to power after the events of God's Plan and Tokyo becoming trapped under the firmament created by Masakado. Under the leadership of Tayama, they were able to establish a control over the various districts of the city and becoming the de-facto rulers of Tokyo, challenged only by the Ring of Gaea and the Hunter Association. Their primary way of control was through the distribution of Red Pills which were able to placate the demons desire for human flesh.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse

In Apocalypse, when Nanashi and his group so far go to the Sky Tower, they meet Abe and Hallelujah.

After Abe reveals that he is actually Shemyaza he is killed by Hallelujah, who then becomes the new boss of the Ashura-kai.
