Tayama is the leader of the Hachibu Rengou Ashura-kai. While there are various rumours that prior to God's Plan he was once a member of the social elite that had studied both internationally and at a prestigious Japanese university, in reality he is merely someone who rose through the ranks of the criminal underground from the bottom.[1]
