- In chapter 13 of the manga, the main character Tomoko Kuroki can be seen fighting the post-game boss battle against the Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner protagonist in the PlayStation version of Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers. This reference was also present in episode 7 of the anime adaptation "Since I'm Not Popular, I'll Enjoy My Summer Break", but slightly changed so that the in-game character had blond hair, wore red and black clothing, and was in a different pose.
- In the web and light novel versions of the story, the protagonist Makoto Misumi uses the alias "Raidou Kuzunoha" referencing the Devil Summoner series character of the same title. In the manga and anime adaptions, he uses an altered version of the title "Makoto Kuzunoha".
