Profile

Origin

Cendrillon is the French name of Cinderella, a prominent Eurasian folk tale based upon the story Rhodopis originating in the 6th-century B.C. about a poor Greek slave girl who gets married to the King of Egypt. The name is widely associated with the popularized French version published by Charles Perrault in his collection Histoires ou contes du temps passé in 1697.

Persona 5 Royal

Cendrillon is the initial Persona of Kasumi Yoshizawa. She specializes in Bless and Physical skills, and her trait is "Veil of Midnight". Unlike most, her awakening does to not conform to the usual sequence; during Kasumi's awakening, as she tears off her mask to awaken Cendrillon, no blood gushes from her face with a much more flashy and elaborate sequence creating her Metaverse outfit and manifestation of her Persona.

Later on during the third semester, after the reveal of Kasumi actually being her sister Sumire Yoshizawa, Cendrillon is forcibly removed by Takuto Maruki, going berserk as a result of Sumire refusing to accept the truth of her circumstances. Due to the nature of her fight, the protagonist and Goro Akechi are no match against her, fortunately the Phantom Thieves, who were previously living within Maruki's reality, turn up to help the duo in defeating her.

The old Cendrillon is destroyed following this fight, as such, during the next infiltration to Maruki's Palace, Sumire begins to encounter issues with both her Persona and her outfit. During an encounter with multiple shadows, Sumire once again tears off her mask to awaken her Cendrillon, this time following the usual awakening sequence. With the assistance of the real Kasumi Yoshizawa's soul, Cendrillon is reborn stronger than before.

Persona 3 Reload

Cendrillon is included as DLC in Persona 3 Reload, available through the Persona 5 Royal Persona Set 1.
