Ryoji Mochizuki is a character of Persona 3 and a transfer student at Gekkoukan High School.
Profile
Following the twelve Full Moon operations, Ryoji arrives at Gekkoukan High School as a third-year. He claims to be from a rich family overseas, and is extremely suave and popular among his classmates. His frequent jokes and antics seem to get on Yukari's nerves, and Aigis seems to outright despise Ryoji, expressing feelings of hostility towards him.
Ryoji has black, swept-back hair, blue eyes, and a mole under his left eye. He wears the Gekkoukan High School uniform, with rolled-up sleeves and black suspenders. He wears a watch with multiple straps on his left wrist, and his most notable trait, his yellow scarf. He's never seen without it, the only exception being during the class trip to Kyoto.
In the original game in both cutscenes and sprites, he has a very pale complexion. however, in the movies and Reload, he sports a warmer complexion.
Ryoji looks near-exactly like Makoto Yuki.[2]

Game Appearances
Persona 3 / Persona 3 FES
On December 2nd, 2009, Ryoji's true past and identity as Death is revealed. Aigis remembers who he is and confronts him on the Moonlight Bridge during the Dark Hour. Ryoji initially has no idea why Aigis holds such animosity towards him, but Aigis explains to him her role as an Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon, and tells him about their fight at the same location 10 years ago. This triggers Ryoji's memories as his true identity, a personification of Death, and he stops Aigis's attack, disabling her.
When S.E.E.S arrives to help Aigis, Ryoji reveals to them that was sealed inside the protagonist the entire time and woke up when they returned to Tatsumi Port Island as a transfer student.
After allowing Ryoji to recover and explain the situation, Ryoji explains The Fall is approaching and there is nothing they can do to stop it. Because Ryoji and the protagonist shared a body for so long, Ryoji has gained some humanity and human emotion, so he gives the protagonist a choice. If they kill him with their own hands, they will all lose their memories and live out their final days in piece without worrying over their looming deaths. The only other choice would be to suffer helplessly as Ryoji believes the Fall to be unpreventable. He gives S.E.E.S one month to decide and vows to return on December 31st.
When December 31st approaches, Ryoji once again gives the protagonist the choice to kill him and lose all their memories or suffer. Depending on player choices, Ryoji fails to convince them and gives S.E.E.S one more month to prepare to confront Nyx on January 31st. Ryoji leaves after wishing them a happy new year, marking this as the last time he maintains a human form.
When S.E.E.S reaches the top of Tartarus on January 31st, Ryoji has become one with Nyx and acts as her avatar.
Persona 3 Portable
In Persona 3 Portable, Ryoji replaces Keisuke Hiraga as the romanceable Fortune social link for the female protagonist's version of the story. Despite Ryoji being unavailable to hang out with or social link with the male protagonist, Ryoji alludes to liking wanting to be close to the female and male protagonist regardless of their gender.
Persona 3 Reload
Link Episodes with Ryoji have been added to the game, providing a substitute for a social link. Each time the protagonist hangs out with Ryoji, all of the stats of the currently equipped Persona raise by 1.
