Yoshio Nishino is the commander of the Devil Busters 2nd Unit, whose members are Ayato Katsuragi, Yuuka Tachibana, Emi Kirishima, Isamu Yamase, Newton and Tatsuya Hayasaka. His superior is Kanetsugu Tachibana.

His wife Yoko Nishino and son Chita Nishino live in Hatsudai Shelter.

Gameplay

Nishino learns physical skills, he leaves the party after the Hatsudai Shelter dungeon.

Yoshio Nishino lived in Hatsudai Shelter as the captain of the Devil Busters 2nd Unit until the shelter was destroyed by Murmur the Fallen and the followers of Bael. His wife and son were killed in this incident and left Nishino wounded deeply.

He is given the choice to remain or not in the shelter as the poison gas consumes the place, if Ayato Katsuragi decides to stay Nishino will go to the surface with Emi Kirishima and Tatsuya Hayasaka although he will leave these two upon reaching the Resistance Base, and as he travels through Tokyo he is killed, but later Nishino later is revived by Marduk himself, who accepts to be his bunrei and meets Sanshiro Soma at a unknown place, however Nishino was killed in Gokokuji Temple by Astarte the Tyrant, he tells Katsuragi this upon meeting Sanshiro Soma at Akihabara Metro Station Building.
