Shadow Labrys is a main character and a Shadow in Persona 4 Arena. She is an Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon and Labrys's Shadow.

Profile

Shadow Labrys is born when Labrys was implanted with a fabricated desire by the malevolent entity of going to Yasogami High School and meet her mother, which is the girl whom she is based on. Taking the form of General Teddie, she tricks Persona users living in Inaba into going into the TV it and have them fight each other in order to force them to understand the pain her other self went through in the past. After Labrys accepted her other self, Shadow Labrys becomes the persona Ariadne, and her personality is stored within a special Black Box Labrys has within her.

During Persona 4 Arena Ultimax she is mainly inactive, but speaks inside of Labrys' mind throughout Episode P3 until Sho Minazuki overwhelms Labrys, then she takes over and wreaks havoc, only stopping when the Investigation Team protect Sho from getting killed. She remains inside of Labrys' body, watching, and occasionally resonating with the Plume of Dusk to communicate with Labrys.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

In Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Shadow Labrys is a variation of Labrys, sharing some and having many of her own normal and special attacks, but sporting her own unique "Persona" which is almost always active (as opposed to all other characters' Personas/avatars playing passively). A puppeteer, or "active avatar" character, she fights in conjunction with Asterius, whose fearsome attacks cover an incredible amount of range. She does not have the Axe Guage, but her potential for combos is unrivaled. She functions the same as she does in Persona 4 Arena, with the only change being that in Ultimax, her Persona Cards/Units are pushed up from 4 to 6.

Knuckle Train 5C A horizontal punch with Asterius. Wallbounces on hit and can be charged to increase damage.
Hammer Uppercut 2C Asterius dives into the ground, before tracking to the opponent's location and re-emerging with an uppercut.
Terra's Eruption 8C Asterius rears back his head and unleashes a torrent of flame from his horns. An Anti-Air with a fast startup.
Cliff of Creta D Asterius's manual block button. Since he's always on-screen, activating Asterius's guard helps you avoid losing cards by blocking attacks.
Chain Knuckle ↓↘→ + A/B Shadow Labrys extends one of her arms across the screen. A range is 1/2 the screen, B is 3/4. Unlike Labrys, Shadow Labrys' version has no follow-up.
Guillotine Axe ↓↙← + A/B High damage move. Ground bounces on hit. Can be used in air.
Buffalo Hammer ↓↙← + C/D Asterius rears back and slams his fists down, creating a shockwave. Temporarily increases Asterius's armor to 600 damage for the duration, allowing him to take some hits while doing this attack.
Flame Of Hades ↓↘→ + C/D Asterius shoots a beam that covers the entire bottom of the screen ending with a explosion at the tip, at full screen distance.
Massive Slaughter ←→ + C/D A charge command grab where Asterius goes underground, then quickly charges at the enemy, swallows them, then spits them out upwards.
Public Execution ↓↑ + C/D Anti-air command grab. Must be charged. Asterius lunges upward, head extended to catch airborne opponents. On hit, Asterius proceeds to knock the opponent back and forth several times in mid-air, juggling them before finishing by flinging them away. Final hit causes wallbounce.
Brutal Impact ↓↙←↓↙← + A/B Unblockable super with guard point against all attacks during startup. Does massive damage on hit.
Challenge Authority ↓↘→↓↘→ + C/D Asterius swings his fist and delivers a giant punch to the screen. Has deceptively large range and does a good amount of damage. Attack The attack starts from Asterius's position, not Shadow Labrys.
Titanomachia ↓↙←↓↙← + C+D Only available while Awakened. Shadow Labrys commands Asterius to perform up to three separate attacks before Titanomachia's finisher. Both Asterius's normals and specials can be used during Titanomachia, but no normal or special may be used twice. During Titanomachia, Asterius has autoguard against all attacks except supers and will not cease attacking even if Shadow Labrys enters blockstun.
Labarynthos Gate ↓↓↓ + A+B An Instant Kill that activates in two parts. First input activates a red bar that appears by the SP Guage and, until the bar completely depletes, Shadow Labrys can attempt a command grab with the same instant kill input which instantly finishes the round. Requires her Persona, a match point, and 100 SP meter.
