Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold is a stage play adaptation of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and sequel to Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena. It was performed at Theater G Rosso in Tokyo from July 6, 2016 to July 10, 2016. The director was Shutaro Oku who also directed Visualive Persona 4: The Evolution and Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena. The stage play is mostly an adaptation of the Episode P4 plot line from Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. It includes scenes from Episode P3 and Episode Adachi as well. The characters are portrayed by actors on stage with Personas and other special effects projected on the screen behind them, with the exception of Akihiko Sanada and Shuji Ikutsuki who were portrayed using pre-recorded footage projected on the screen. The DVD came out on November 25, 2016.

  • The second volume of the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax manga came out a couple months after the stage play was performed. In the afterwords, Rokuro Saito's assistant Yuka Someya is drawn as a blob-looking Shadow with a text bubble saying, "The stage play was great!"[1]
