"True Story" is a character song for Rise Kujikawa that was used in Persona 4 The Animation and Persona 4 Golden. It was composed by Shoji Meguro with lyrics by Yuichiro Tanaka and vocals sung by Rie Kugimiya in character as Rise.

It was first released on the bonus disc that came with the limited edition of Persona 4 The Animation BD/DVD volume 4. The full version is track #1, the instrumental is track #2, and the TV size version used as the opening is track #3. On the Persona 4 The Animation Series Original Soundtrack, the regular version is track #17 on disc 1, and the duet version between Rise and Marie (voiced by Kana Hanazawa) from Persona 4 The Golden Animation is track #9 on disc 3.

On the Persona 4 Golden Original Soundtrack, the full version is track #5. In the liner notes, Meguro explains that the reason why the version on the Golden OST is a full version is that the Investigation Team got back together and played the full version of the song in March to make another memory before the protagonist leaves Inaba.

True Story
