Inoue is an employee of Takura Productions. He originally appeared in Rise Kujikawa's Social Link in Persona 4. As her manager, he believed she had real talent, and he came to see her to Inaba in disbelief that she was really leaving the industry. He treats Rise like a daughter since his own daughter is the same age as her. When Rise has no interest in returning, he signs up to become Kanami Mashita's manager.
