"Long Way" is used as the background music in Magatsu Inaba, the December dungeon in Persona 4. It has a fast tempo involving guitars and synths, leading to a melancholic piano. The song restarts from the beginning after the protagonist gets out of battle.

It is track #20 on disc 2 of the Persona 4 Original Soundtrack.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

"Long Way" is one of the tracks from Persona 3 and Persona 4 that was reused as background music during story mode.

"Long Way" is one of the Persona 4 Golden EX dungeon bgms that comes with the Expansion Pass.

Anime Appearances

Persona 4 The Golden Animation

A piano rendition of "Long Way" was composed by Shoji Meguro for the Persona 4 The Golden Animation OVA, Thank You Mr. Accomplice, which comes with volume 4 of the anime's BD/DVD. The OVA is an adaptation of Tohru Adachi's Social Link from Persona 4 Golden, and serves as an alternate second half to episode 7. After Yu Narukami makes his decision that causes the alternate outcome, the piano version plays during the credit roll.

It is track #14 on Persona 4 The Golden Animation Original Soundtrack Vol. 2 which came with BD/DVD volume 5. It is also track #27 on the Persona 4 The Animation Series Original Soundtrack.

Trivia

  • In the OST booklet, Meguro remarks that the player might not hear the entire track since it resets from the start once you get out of battle. Due to this, he asks that you take a break from killing Shadows and try listening to it all the way through.[1]
