Profile

Origin

Cthulhu originates from the short story The Call of Cthulhu written by H. P. Lovecraft. In the story, Cthulhu is an ancient god that sleeps deep under the surface of the Southern Pacific Ocean in an underwater city known as R'lyeh. It is worshipped by both human cults and monsters known as Deep Ones. In the story, it is described as a towering humanoid monster with an octopus-like head and face, a scaly body, large webbed appendages with claws, and long, slender wings.[1] Most modern depictions in pop culture maintain this appearance.
