Chanting an incantation in the book, time in the kids' world suddenly freezes, and they are transported to Valhalla's Time Tower by Ami Kashihara, who claims that it was left barren by the Imperial Army. Ami tells Jin and Akira that they are the reincarnations of Valhalla's creators, the Son of Light and Prince of Darkness–the Devil Children. During a sudden fight against Gargoyles, the boys obtain Devilisers that allow them to summon their partners Rand and Gale. As for Rena, she is given a Vinecom that contains info on Demons. As the team proceed to a village where a Time Chain piece is supposedly located, a Demon of the Imperial Army named Harborim commences a pursuit against them. Jin and Akira manage to seal Harborim and claim his ring, which turns out to be a piece of the Time Chain.
Episode 5: Pierce the Seas!

However, the volcanic terrain makes the tunnels hard to cross. A squadron of Balors then sail in, to which the team plan on sneaking aboard their ship in order to reach the neighboring continent. Jin and Rand's covers are blown, resulting in their persecution by the Balors. Retreating to the undersea tunnel, they encounter Zabel and his partner Issitoq, offering to help him drill to the other continent. Zabel is content on drilling, despite being under volcanic terrain; his ill daughter died after the Balors denied them access to a ship, as the closest hospital was overseas. Regaining his confidence from Jin, Zabel and Issitoq resume drilling and emerge on the other continent, reuniting with Akira and the others. The Balors get sealed, to the villagers' delight, and Issitoq parts ways with Zabel.
Episode 6: The Healing Devil
While struck with hunger, the group proceed to a pillar of smoke in the forest. Along the way, they find Issitoq basking in a green light conjured by a dragon. Jin takes the dragon for a foe and punches it, revealing it to be a costume piloted by Leprechauns, who quickly disband. Arriving at the village, Old Geppetto informs the group that the Leprechauns' light protected it from the Imperial Army. Feeling guilty for scaring them away earlier, Jin sets out to find the Leprechauns. Rena follows and falls into an sinkhole, while the Demon Anzu attacks the unprotected village. As Akira, Gale, and the villagers fight Anzu, the Leprechauns find Rena in the pit; Issitoq retrieves her Vinecom and goes searching with Jin and Rand. Before Rena succumbs to hypothermia, recalling a childhood memory wherein Jin saved her from drowning in a river, Jin and the Leprechauns hoist her up with a pulley mechanism. Episode 7: First-Time Partner Demon
The kids arrive at a dried-up lake encompassing a treetop village, whose inhabitants rely on Isssitoq's ice to stave off the heat. A feud then breaks out between the village chief and his son, the latter leaving the village alongside his siblings and Issitoq. Rena attends Mad Hatter's magic show, but after it goes horribly, she visits him and watches him practice, reminding her of when she practiced baseball with her little brother. After Ami and Skuld agree to find a way to send Athena back in time, she talks with Jin in a field, reflecting on how desolate the land was in her time. Athena and her father had tried growing Chorus Trees to nurture the land, though all of their attempts failed, and her father eventually died. She explores the field with Jin, who gifts her a four-leaf clover. Meanwhile, Ogma sees the Chorus Tree wither due to a time paradox. Athena refuses to return to her barren home, so Ogma abducts her at night and brings her to a time portal out of fear that history itself is in danger. She calls for an attack, resulting in Shun's arm getting injured. Following the assault, Raphael arrives and hides everyone in a camouflage tent. Shun and Judy explain how Naomi used to be a rebel spy, but after Hydra Town was destroyed, she was taken by the Imperial Army and employed for her skills. Thinking back to when Naomi played serenades for him, Shun recalls giving her ear piercings, and vowing to restore peace in Valhalla. When Raphael's tent is discovered, Naomi confesses her fears of being the Imperial Army's prisoner to Shun, declaring herself a foe of the rebels. Naomi panics upon hearing Shun whistle her serenade, then Ose appears and smites her with lightning. Raphael eavesdrops on the gang's plans to join the Imperial Army, but get interrupted by Rangda, who everyone recognizes as a friend of the Devil Children. Raphael expresses his gratitude towards Jin and Akira for saving him from the Imperial Army's control, and so joins Rangda in searching for the Time Chain link. They board a raft with the Devil Children team, but some Demons from the tavern, Dahaka and Vodyanik, try intercepting them. The team gets separated in the attack, leaving Rangda stranded with Raphael. However, Rangda struggles against Raphael's awkwardness and optimism, exclaiming she wants the Time Chain link's bounty all for herself to survive in Valhalla. Elsewhere, Jin and Akira fight Xiezhai while Rena and Ami run from Haurvatat, but recklessly manage to reunite. Rangda is followed by Dahaka and Vodyanik into the marsh, though Raphael steps in to protect her. He surgically extracts the chain from Hydra's mouth to make it calm again, though after it leaves, Dahaka and his gang chase Rangda, with Raphael carrying her away in his arms. The team look over the land to see towns engulfed in flames, with war raging between the Liberation and Imperial Armies. Remiel struggles to hone the Time Chain and Key's power, but unbeknownst to him, the Time Tower rises from the desert and flies to his fortress. Once the team reach Remiel, they watch as the Time Tower descends upon the fortress, encapsulating everyone in a sphere of light. Past a stone mural depicting the Son of Light and Prince of Darkness, they fail to stop Remiel from inserting the Time Chain and Key into the tower. Before Remiel can destroy them, however, Jin and Akira awaken to their truest power, allowing Rand and Gale to ascend to even stronger forms, commencing the ultimate battle against Remiel.
Episode 50: Son of Light, Prince of Darkness
The Devil Children finally seal away Remiel, after which Ami, Jin, and Akira pray to the Time Tower through the Time Chain and Key. As a new history unravels, the souls of fallen Demons are resurrected, and nature blooms throughout the wasteland. Their mission fulfilled, the Devil Children and Rena bid farewell to their companions and enter a stream of energy, awaking in their school's library where time has begun to move again. The kids resume their normal lives, but while the library is empty, the book of Demons opens up and the words mysteriously fade. An angelic being hijacks electronic devices around the world, exclaiming that mankind is at risk of Armageddon. Jin sees a light strike Tokyo Tower later that night, arriving at the scene with Akira and Rena. Demonic tendrils emerge from the tower, grabbing the Devil Children and bystanders, apart from Rena. The tendrils are suddenly eradicated in a golden light, manifesting as the Angel Enoch, who once again exclaims that mankind is in danger.
Episode 51: Angel Enoch
Enoch invites the people of Tokyo to join him in creating a brighter future, then fades away. Adults and children alike start to depend on Enoch for protection, with strong believers able to channel his blessing on their cell phones. Suspicious of Enoch's motives, the trio look through the book of Demons to find its pages of a peaceful future completely blank. The land tremors as Enoch erects the Angel Tower in the middle of the city, proclaiming it serves to protect humanity from an impending demonic force. He emits a light that brands an insignia on everyone's foreheads, though Jin and Akira shield themselves from it, watching as the masses mindless pray to Enoch. Jin confronts his mother, who received the angel's blessing over email, arguing that Enoch may not truly be a savior. Realizing that Enoch has people under his control, Jin meets up with Akira and Rena, failing to convince everyone that the angel should not have dominion over their world. Just then, Enoch appears before the trio and urges them to join his conquering of mankind. They refuse, to which Enoch ensnares them with the same tendrils that shrouded Tokyo Tower, preparing to annihilate them. Rena's laptop then turns into the Vinecom, summoning Nemea, Ami, Rand, and Gale from Valhalla. Jin and Akira regain their Devilisers and charge against Enoch, though he withstands their attacks and takes Rena.
Episode 52: Never Run Away! Never Give Up! Never Back Down!
Enoch departs for the Angel Tower with Rena in his grasp. Afterwards, Ami and the Demons explain that Enoch has also been trying to manipulate the people of Valhalla. Ami states that Enoch is not just after the human world and Valhalla, but is possibly gathering their power to conquer a third world. As for Rena, she has a series of nightmares before waking in the Angel Tower. Enoch omnipotently tells her that, unlike Jin and Akira, she is a mere human, and thus received his blessing over email, too. While Ami, Rand, and Gale fight the tendrils, Jin and Akira climb their way up to an opening in the Angel Tower. Inside, Rena shows up under Enoch's control, but Jin's words almost bring her back to her senses. Enoch intervenes and tries to destroy the Devil Children, until the spirits of the Son of Light and Prince of Darkness emerge. Rena regains control of herself and the tendrils vanish, upon which Ami and the Demons arrive. Rand and Gale strike Enoch with their abilities, with the angel exclaiming that the battle has only just begun. The Angel Tower fades into the sky, and without Enoch, the masses are no longer brainwashed. As life seems normal again, the trio part ways with Ami and the Demons once more. However, Rena receives a phone call the next day, and news broadcasts are heard reporting the appearance of several angels. She walks with Jin and Akira, raising her head to reveal Enoch's insignia, while Enoch himself flickers onto her cell phone.
