Ami, also known as the Shrine Maiden of Time (時の巫女 Toki no Miko), is a cleric who serves the Time Tower in Valhalla, a world plunged into chaos by the Imperial Army. By chanting a spell, she beckons Jin, Akira, and Rena to Valhalla; however, doing so causes their world's time flow to freeze. She tells Jin and Akira how they are Devil Children who inherited powers from the Son of Light and Prince of Darkness respectively, urging they use the mystic Time Chain and Time Key to rewrite history, which could bring Valhalla back to an era of peace. Unfortunately, an accident causes the Time Chain to break and scatter throughout Valhalla, sending Ami and the kids on a journey to find the missing pieces.
