Valhalla was created long ago by the Son of Light and Prince of Darkness, both friends of Makai's lord Lucifer. Intending for Valhalla to be a world without conflict, they abandoned Makai, leaving behind a Time Key and letter to Lucifer in the Time Tower, predicting the events that were to transpire. They also granted the Time Maidens Urd, Skuld, and Verdandi the Time Chain, which could erase temporal distortions across the universe. At the same time Valhalla was born, so were the beings of destruction known as Quasar and Seyfert. These entities would take control of Valhalla's new tyrants, the Elder Emperor Remiel and Younger Emperor Azrael, who enforced a regime in which all dissenters were taken to the Flame Purgatory and executed. As the twins' Imperial Army reigned over Valhalla, plotting to dominate other worlds by means of temporal distortion, the Son of Light and Prince of Darkness were reincarnated as Jin and Akira respectively in the human world.
