Hanoun is a character in the Megami Tensei franchise.

Profile

A timid fairy that manages a drug store in Old Shinjuku. She has blonde long hair, green eyes, and wears an orange dress with a white apron over it.

Game Appearances

Shin Megami Tensei II

Hanoun's primary appearance is as the shopkeeper of the drug store in Old Shinjuku.

Before Aleph goes into the underground beneath Tokyo Millenium, she meets and develops a crush on Daleth, who recruits both her and another fairy named Puck into his latest scheme to get the better of Aleph, which is using the Indfidelity Sap on him to make him fall on love with Hanoun. When they confront Aleph's party however, the Infidelity Sap hits Hiroko instead, who becomes enamored with Daleth. Though Daleth is uncomfortable with the situation, he considers it a win over Aleph, but his plans are ruined by Hanoun, who, driven by her crush on Daleth, helps Aleph break the spell on Hiroko and then uses the infidelty sap on the target of her affections, in turn making him become enamored with her. As a result of the Infidelty Sap's brainwashing effect, Daleth gives up on his obsession with Aleph and lives with Hanoun as her lover.

Her only other appearance in the story is in the ending of the chaos route, where she, along with the rest of the residents of the underground, congratulate Aleph on defeating YHVH and destroying Tokyo Millenium.

Visionaries

Hanoun appears in 2 Visionary cutscenes in the Game Boy Advance and iOS versions of the game.

In "Broken Visor", which takes place after Daleth has been brainwashed by the Infidelity Sap and Aleph has left for Makai, Hanoun is examining a flower while Daleth laments that all of his attempts to get the best of Aleph have failed, and that he will likely never be able to surpass him. When Hanoun attempts to comfort him, their attention is suddenly grabbed by a distressed fairy running away from a stray Bit Ball, which Daleth quickly destroys. After admonishing the fairy to be careful, he resolves to himself that while he will never be able to beat Aleph, he has a new purpose and life living with the fairies, and he is content with that, making Hanoun say his name dreamily.

In "Torn Cape", which takes place after Daleth has initially been defeated by Aleph, Daleth visits Shinjuku to receive treatment for his wounds and finds Hanoun's store, meeting her for the first time. She hurriedly treats his wounds while he tries to express his gratitude to her, though he inadvertently keeps hurting himself from his exaggerated movements, causing Hanoun to request he lies down. While he obliges her request, Hanoun comments to herself that he is cute.

End of spoilers.
