Emperor's Amulet is a Shadow and Persona in Persona 5.
Profile
Origin
The Emperor's Amulet is based off of the Talisman of Charlemagne which is an reliquary encolpion that is rumored to to have belonged to Charlemagne, a member of the Carolingian Dynasty, and king of both the Franks and the Lombards. This rumor very well may be false, and be related to him in name only, as there's dubious evidence to say that it did belong to him.[1]
It's said to contain a splinter of the True Cross, which is the real cross that Jesus was crucified on, as well as a lock of hair from the Virgin Mary,[2] making it a holy relic.
Design
The Emperor's Amulet is a Treasure Demon, with a ghost protruding from the pendant of the Talisman of Charlemagne. The pendant is a large, blue-grey sapphire, surrounded by smaller garnets, sapphires, and emeralds. The sapphire within the pendant is notable due to the fact that it's the largest known sapphire from the 17th century, being nearly 190 ct, and of Sri Lankan origin.[3]
Gameplay
Emperor's Amulet is a type of Treasure Demon, which drop large sums of Yen and Experience Points when defeated. Treasure Demons cannot be fused, only recruited during battle. With a successful Hold Up, the only Negotiation outcome is to automatically recruit the Persona. They have no item drops but give high amounts of money compared to other Shadows.

When using Emperor's Amulet to make a new Persona, the available bonus traits may vary if there is overlap with the trait belonging to the second Persona used for fusion.
